Welcome to Season 2 of The Breakfast Dish! Dance, music, visual art, theatre and get-to-know-you conversations with the artists behind the work. Join Griffin Cork and his mom, Karen Johnson-Diamond every Monday morning as they meet the creators of today's digital offerings. This podcast is dairy and gluten free!
This week Karen and Griffin are joined by the one, the only Marshall Vielle. Marshall is an actor, director, podcaster, and drag performer from the Kainai Nation in Southern Alberta, and he's the co-curator of The Braving Beauty Cabaret presented by Arts Commons. Braving Beauty Cabaret illuminates the parallels and connections between two specific communities that call Mohkínstsis (Calgary) home - artists from the African diaspora and the Indigenous Nations of Treaty 7.
